Imagine setting off to cycling around the world…and you’ve only been cycling a couple of years…and you’re only 19….and you’re trying to gain a Guinness World Record….

Indian endurance cyclist Vedangi Kulkarni is a force of nature. Her irrepressible drive and determination is obvious - what else would keep you going in the face of grizzly bear encounters, food poisoning, saddle sores, visa issues and a mugging at knife-point! These are just a few of the lows she faced in her round-the-world record attempt where she aimed to become the youngest woman to circumnavigate the planet, and get a Guinness World Record in the process. But there were highs too, with beautiful landscapes, old friends and new, and of course the achievement of completing a 29,000km ride through Australia, Canada, Europe, India and Russia!

Vedangi shares the incredible story of her adventure, answers YOUR questions on things like how she managed her period during the attempt, how she got into cycling in the first place, and her advice for budding adventure riders.
